Let California Kids Hear!
This is what we have been waiting to share with you! These beautiful images are from our brand new Let California Kids Hear Campaign.
These are just some of the thousands of children who, along with their families, have struggled to get hearing aids that have been deemed medically necessary.
Here in California, health insurance plans and policies are not required to cover hearing aids for children. As a result, only 1 in 10 families on privately funded plans have coverage. The other families are forced to either forego hearing aids for their child or pay the steep costs out-of-pocket. California currently lags behind 25 other states that require private insurance coverage for pediatric hearing aids.
Over the next week we will be telling you the stories of ALL of these children on our Facebook page. Stories that you might relate to. Stories that will hopefully tug at your heart and remind you why it’s so important for our children to have access to hearing aids should their families choose to use them. No family should have to bear the burden of the cost and struggle to make that decision for their children because of dollars and cents.
