- the impact of childhood hearing loss on brain development;
- the impact of childhood hearing loss on listening, spoken language, and literacy development;
- the benefits of early access to hearing aids for children born with hearing loss; and
- the financial benefits of providing proactive, auditory-based intervention for children born with hearing loss. In 2023, the societal cost of undertreated childhood hearing loss ranges from $1.8 million to $4.5 million.
